Color Wheel
Primary Colors are blue, red and yellow. Other colors are created through blending them.
Secondary Colors are located halfway between each of the primary colors on the color wheel; Orange, green and violet.
Tertiary colors are created when primary colors are mixed with adjacent secondary colors.
Hue, Saturation and Value
The key to variety! Endless color combinations can be achieved by varying these properties.
Hue is synonymous with color.
Saturation is the purity of a color or hue. A fully saturated color is very intense, while a less saturated color is muted (with black or it’s complement).
Value is the measure of how bright a color is.
